_Astronauts discover puncture in station during space walk
It's a little hole in a radiator. No big deal, but pay attention to this set of circumstances: the station has a design "incorporating shielding for most of the station's segments." That sounds great to me, however, there's the small matter of the "Russian Zvezda module, which has virtually no shielding." Hmm, ok, so what's in the only part of the station not to be shielded? Oh, nothing important, just "the station's life support gear and two of the three Alpha crewmembers' sleeping quarters." Good thinking!

_A quick commute

The space shuttle Discovery rockets into orbit above Florida's Kennedy Space Center. On board was a seven-man replacement crew for the International Space Station.

_Satellite-tracked turtle finds way to barbecue
"They said it was a big party - about 100 people took part," says Nichols. "It's kind of a drag to track a turtle for months and find out someone ate it." Thousands of schoolchildren had been following the turtle's journey on the internet.
